Afghanistan beat Ireland in warm-up game
Mohammad Nabi and Asghar Stanikzai lead Afghanistan to victory. All credits to a 5th wicket partnership of 66 runs to seal a 5 wicket victory over Ireland.

Ireland set a target of 134 for Afghanistan to win. Afghans got off to a terrible start losing two early wickets as they struggled against the Irish new ball bowlers. Noor Ali and Mohammad Shahzad soon followed to leave Afghanistan in deep trouble before Mohammad Nabi and Asghar Stanikzai came to the Afghans rescue. The pair came together in the 12th over after Afghanistan had been reduced to 66 runs for loss 4 wickets. With defeat looming they amazingly fought back building a match winning partnership.

Earlier, Ireland won the toss and batted first. Irish lost four wickets earlier before Gary Wilson and John Mooney built a 5th wicket partnership of 79 runs to help the Irish reach 133 for loss of 9 wickets.
