Clarke offers forum to players to voice their opinion
Michael Clarke has called an open meeting of the Aussie team and has neutralized the ambiance of the team which was shaking after the tumultuous removal of Simon Katich from the list of Cricket Australia contracts. The Aussie team is training nowadays in Brisbane ahead of their tour of Sri Lanka.

Clarke asked his team mates to speak their hearts out if they had any issues without any fear. The meeting really helped a long way in reuniting the team as a unit and letting the burden off the minds of the players. "We had a couple of really good meetings on Sunday night, which were really open in an environment where guys could voice their opinion," Clarke said. "An environment where everyone can say what they think is very important and over the last couple of days with our training the break has obviously helped, and freshened everybody up".

"The meetings were very positive. It was an open forum where the boys could feel free to voice their opinions on a number of topics, and we all walked out of the meetings looking forward to what's in front of us". Clarke said that the freedom given by him to the players has helped them all to discuss matters in a convivial atmosphere and focus on their target that is to become the number one team in the world and play the best game for our country.

He argued that one has to perform consistently in the team to retain his seat, otherwise someone else would be there to replace him. Being dropped from the side for not performing up to the mark is not a rare phenomenon in the game of Cricket, so everyone should try to work hard and carry out his duty in the best manner for his country.
