A New Delhi oncologist said that Yuvraj Singh’s cancer is nothing to worry about. The formidable batsman of Indian team is likely to be back in action very soon.
"Yuvraj Singh has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the United States," Dr Nitesh Rohatgi of the Max Cancer Centre told reporters.
"We are very lucky this is a seminoma. These are mostly curable with chemotherapy and is unlikely to affect Yuvraj's career.
"His doctors in the U.S., working in collaboration with us, are confident of his recovery. Most likely Yuvraj will be back on the field by the first week of May."
The 30 year old cricket maestro has been a nightmare for many bowlers over the world especially spinners. It was really tough for the Indian board to get a replacement when he was hospitalized due to an issue called Mediastinal Seminoma.
Yuvraj played a huge role in India’s World Twenty20 victory held in South Africa in the year 2007. He had hit Stuart Broad for 6 sixes in one single over. He was named the player of the tournament.
He is one of the best timers of the cricket ball.
