In an attempt to improve the standard of the Sri Lankan team, the Sri Lankan board has appointed South African Graham Ford as national team's new head coach.
Ford, before taking over coaching South African franchisee Dolphins, has had coaching stints with South Africa and Kent.
He would be replacing Australian Geoff Marsh, under whom the team had struggled to make an impact.
The step comes as a latest attempt in a series of changes made by the board due to the team's recent poor form; it had started with the change of captain the selection committee.
