The scond test match between Sri Lanka and India at Colombo ends in a draw. It was a high scoring match as both teams scored a total of 1478 runs with 3 centuries and 2 double centuries. A total of 17 wickets fell and even the bowlers were not spared from centuries as one reached a double ton and 7 of them got to their 100's as well.

This match was spread over 5 days which contained some of the dullest and drab test cricket that one can ever hope to see. Hope that he ICC wakes up now and puts a full stop to this wastage of time as the match remained un resulted. Raina became the 9th Indian to make a debut ton. Sachin got his 5th double ton while Sangakara made his 7th which is a Sri Lankan record. Randiv conceded the most runs by a debutant and he bowled the 2nd highest number of overs in his maiden test match.

Sachin got to his 5th double ton after a gap of 6 years. The last one came against Bangladesh in 2004 at Dhaka. If only Sachin had got his 15 runs in the last match he would have still been in the race to equal Sir Don for the most number of consecutive hundreds in consecutive matches and would have had the opportunity of breaking it in the next game at PSS.

Kumar Sangakara was declared as the Man of the Match for his double century in the first inning.
