IPL is a reason for Indian player's raggedness: Nasir
Nasir Hussain, former England Captain, has argued that though IPL has given India a lot, yet it's the reason for the roughness of the Indian players.

The players are not looked after properly due to the overwhelming schedule of IPL. "It's given their players exposure to pressure situations and added an extra flair and muscularity to their one-day game. But the IPL has meant they don't get to look after their players as well as, say, England do. It may not happen during this series, but eventually England will go past them for this very reason," Hussain added.

He further said that lack of match practice is what's hurting India in the ongoing tour and there is a palpable difference in the body language of those who have enough match practice behind them than those who have not. "India? Let's face it, they were very ragged. It's been noticeable that the guys who have done well for them in this Test - Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Rahul Dravid - were all out in the Caribbean recently," Hussain said.

Nasir said that the inclusion of Zaheer Khan in the side as spearhead of the bowling attack is utterly surprising as the pacer has been out of the game since long. "Look at Zaheer Khan. We're told he's India's attack leader, but it's beyond belief that he was allowed to play in this Test with so little bowling behind him," he wrote in a newspaper.

India played just one 3-day warm-up match in the tour and most of the Indian stars who are part of this squad have played very little or no international game since the world cup.
