Micahel Lumb scored a brilliant 83 to help the Rajasthan Royals glide to a comprehensive 9 wicket victory over a wretched Kings XI Punjab to keep their hope of a place in the knock out stages alive.
Faced with a target of just 154 the Royals made light work of their run chase helped by some terrible fielding and bowler by the Kings XI.
Sreesanth proved to be the main culprit with 2 wides and 2 no balls in one over but his fielders were just as bad as missing catches, run outs and showing a level of fielding unaccepted at this level of cricket.
The main beneficiary was Lumb who smashed a quick 83 from just 43 balls to steer the Royals to a well deserved victory despite being caught by Piyush Chawla in the 9th over.
With the hard work done by Lumb at the top of the order Yusuf Pathan (20) and Naman Ojha (44) saw the Royals to victory with 30 balls to spare.
Michael Lumb is the Man of the Match. Kamaal catch award goes to 'Piyush Chawla'. Sangakkara collects it on his behalf. Maximum sixes award goes to 'Yuvraj Singh'.
