With Kallis watching on from the non strikers end, Goswami (8), Manish Pandey (0) and Virat Kohil (2) all departed without scoring to leave RCB at 20 for 3. Royal Challenger Bangalore set a target of 136 for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Brad Hodge and Manoj Tiwari paved the way for an easy win by an opening partnership of 101 runs. Tiwari was out after scoring a brilliant half-century. Hodge continued the blitz by scoring his own half century as the Knight Riders reached their total of 136 with 4 balls to spare to leave Royal Challengers skipper Anil Kumble with a lot of work to do ahead of their next game against Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday.
