After being dropped from the Royals Challengers for last three games, Kevin Pietersen showed that he is fit for number three position for Bangalore as well as for England during the Twenty20 World Cup. KP enjoyed a superb start to his innings dispatching Kamran Khan for 3 boundaries and a huge six in the 4th over as he announced his intentions to win the game as soon as possible.
Despite losing the wickets of Manish Pandey and Robin Uthappa, Pietersen struggled and guided the Royals Challengers toward victory before he was run out on 62. After his departure, RCB required just 18 more runs to wins. The victory was completed by Ross Taylor who hit the winning runs to complete an important victory for the Royals Challengers.
