Virender Sehwag scored a wonderful half century to help the Delhi Daredevils cruise to a 6 wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals to make it two wins out of two to start thus years IPL in style.
The Royals were put into bat by Gambhir and despite losing Swapnil Asnodkar (5) in the second over the home side made a positive start with Smith and Naman Ojha looking comfortable against the pace bowling of Dirk Nannes and Farveeez Maharoof.
Set a total of 142 for victory, Virender Sehwag made light work of the run chase smashing 75 from just 34 balls to hand the Royals their second defeat in the space of three days.
Daredevils have finished it off in style, thanks to a blustering half century from Sehwag, who treated the bowling with utter disdain. Rajasthan Royals were never really in the game and all the bowlers were taken for plenty. They have a lot of work to do if they are to bounce back into the competition, while it's all smooth sailing for the Delhi Daredevils at the moment.
Sehwag is the Man of the Match for his 75 runs in just 34 balls.
