Jesse Ryder out of RCB squad for IPL 2010

Black Caps Jesse Ryder is out of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for IPL 2010 as he is unable to recover from groin injury in time.

Ryder's injury is taking more time than expected to heal and the New Zealand batsman has decided to withdraw himself of the IPL in order to be fit for the Twenty20 World Cup at the start of May this year.

Ryder's agent told media, "Jesse is rationally frustrated about not going to India for the IPL, but he is pragmatic about returning too early and infuriating his groin injury."

He added, "He is better to be completely recovered and play a full tournament in the West Indies than risk rushing back to play IPL and risking his involvement in both tournaments".
