Pakistan have called up batsman Asad Shafiq and fast bowler Mohammad Irfan to replace the suspended players Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt.
The PCB chairman, Ijaz Butt, has approved the names of the two players on the request of the team management and selection committee to join the Pakistan ODI squad for England series. Both the players are currently playing with the Pakistan A team in Sri Lanka and will now join the senior team by next week.
Left arm pacer Muhammad Irfan has yet to play for the senior team while batsman Asad Shafiq made his ODI debut in the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka in June thia year. Pakistan test captain Salman Butt and opening bowlers Amir and Asif face possible life bans after they were charged under the International Cricket Council's (ICC) anti-corruption code.
