Bracken returns for NSW Blues

NSW has named Australian ODI bowler Nathan Bracken in a 15-man squad for tomorrow's crucial Twenty20 match against Queensland at ANZ Stadium.

Bracken had a knee surgery in October and played Sydney grade cricket over the weekend. NSW will also have Phillip Hughes available to open the batting with David Warner with Simon Katich passed fit to play in Thursday's third Test against Pakistan in Hobart. Hughes is expected to fly from Hobart back to Sydney tonight for the clash with the Bulls at ANZ Stadium.

The Blues have also named quick Aaron Bird, who is free to play despite being reported yesterday for a doubtful bowling action under Cricket Australia procedures. He had only returned in July from a suspension over his bowling action and will have to undergo further tests to avoid another ban.

NSW squad: Moises Henriques (c), Aaron Bird, Nathan Bracken, Phillip Hughes, Phil Jaques, Grant Lambert, Usman Khawaja, Stephen O'Keefe, Ben Rohrer, Steven Smith, Dwayne Smith, Dan Smith, Mitchell Starc, Dominic Thornely, David Warner.
