Umar Akmal gets on nose during practice

Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal has been hit in the nose by a ball during practice in England.

Akmal received medical treatment on site after being hit by a bowled ball in the nets on Thursday morning. The extent of the injury wasn’t immediately known. But Pakistan manager Yawar Saeed says "we don't think it's broken. The bleeding has stopped".

It wasn't clear whether Akmal would play in the warm-up match against Somerset. Pakistan is preparing for two T20s and five ODIs against England. The incident came as Pakistan players Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer faced questions at the Pakistan High Commission in London over alleged spot-fixing allegations.
