West Indies dominate as rain interrupts day 1
The South Africans won the toss and elected to bat in the first test match against West Indies. South Africa reached 70 for loss of 3 wickets in their first innings when bad light stopped play early on the rain-hit opening day at Queen's Park Oval.
The South African openers got off to a solid start as they shared a fifty plus partnership. However, Benn and Shillingford picked up three wickets. The pitch was already offering turn and it would be interesting to see how the South Africans will counter the spin on Day 2. The weather is not so good for tomorrow as well and many will be wondering on what approach South Africans adopt.
