Chanderpaul and Nash save West Indies from follow on
South Africa's grip on the second Test against the West Indies was weakened on day 3 after Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Brendan Nash hit centuries.
Chanderpaul was unbeaten with the top score of 151 runs and Nash scored 114 runs as West ndies reached 424 for loss of wickets at the end of the third day. The South African bowlers were struck by the friendly Warner Park pitch. Chanderpaul and Nash filled their troughs in a partnership stand of 220 runs for the fourth wicket that helped West Indies avoid the follow-on. Chanderpaul got to his 22nd Test century from 188 balls and Nash scored his 12th second Test century from 129 balls.
