West Indies have made 267/2 on the first day of 3rd and final Test against India in Mumbai at the Wankhede stadium. All the top four batsmen have hit fifties.
On a dead pitch, Indian bowlers were literally made to toil by West Indian batsmen. 91 overs have been bowled on day 1 and the bowlers could send just 2 batsmen back to pavilion.
Openers Barath 62 and Brathwaite 68 are the ones to be out today after giving a perfect strt to their side. Edwards is not out at 65 while Bravo is with him at the crease at 57.
The first wicket of the day fell when Ashwin was able to draw a catch from the bat of Barath in the gloves of Dhoni in the 53rd over of the match at the overall score of 137. Brathwaite was quick to leave the pitch as he was caught by Kohli on the ball of the same bowler just after 6 overs.
The stand between Edwards and Bravo is thriving well as they have scored 117 runs between them and are still going. Sehwag came on to bowl but was extremely expensive as he yielded 23 runs in just 3 overs.
Another long and tiresome day awaits the Indian bowlers as they are yet to send another 8 batsmen off the field.
