After yet another day of dominance, Australia will go into the final day of the fourth test in Adelaide requiring just four wickets to complete a series whitewash over India.
The pitch on the final session on friday offered little assistance to the bowlers, but both the Indian batsmen VVS Laxman and Virat Kohli were dismissed in the closing overs of the day, leaving only wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha.
Australia started with 50 for three and resorted to declaration just after lunch on 167 for five as Ricky Ponting's unbeaten half-century helped the team.
