India lost Tri-series final against SL
Sri Lanka lift the Micromax trophy after beating India by 74 runs in the final match of the ODI Tri-series at Dambulla. Dilshan scored his 8th ODI century and was announced man of the match.

In the end, one can say that the better team won the match. Many expected Sehwag to get India off to a great start, but once he was run-out thanks to some brilliant fielding from Kapugedera, India were firmly on the back foot. Raina and Dhoni tried a mini revival but they were always behind the required run-rate. Dhoni waged a lone battle till the end but it was asking too much from him. A perfect bowling and fielding display from the Lankans earned them victory in this competition by 74 runs and have finally managed to get the better of MS Dhoni's team after four unsuccessful attempts.

Sri Lankan coach and all the other members of their think-tank come out and embrace the winning Lankan team. They are delighted out there. India were never in the game and paid the price for some poor strokes. Kohli and Raina perished to bad shots and India could never get back in the game. India have lost a series or a final under Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the first time in Sri Lanka playing against Sri Lanka.

There is an old saying which goes likes this - Out of every event which happens, one should always look for a positive and the only positive from this game after this match, hopefully, fingers crossed. There won't be another match between India and Sri Lanka in the near future. People in both countries are already sick and tired of watching these two battle each other. In fact India are only scheduled to play them in the 2011 World Cup.

Dilshan is the Man of the Match for scoring a match-winning 110. Kumar Sangakkara is the rocking performer of the day, he gets to enjoy a big flat TV. Kumar Sangakkara is also the stylish player of the matchand gets a bike as a reward. Kyle Mills is the all-rounder of the series, Danny Morrison accepted award on his behalf. Virender Sehwag is the Man of the series for his tally of 268 runs in the series. He is also the most admirable player of the series as he won a second Fiat Linea car in the series.
