Australia set a challenging 180 run target for Caribbeans to win. The West Indies were restricted to 141 for 8 from their 20 overs. Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait took 3 wickets for 30 runs and was named man of the match. He was well supported by Drik Nannes and Mitchell Johnson. West Indies had done well to stay in the contest during the early overs but it got away from them at the end.
