West Indies had made 378 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the first session of 3rd Test at the Wankhede stadium. They lost just one wicket before lunch. This session was the most productive for West Indies, yielding 111 runs as their batsmen went for their shots.

Bravo reached his ton just before lunch, his third in 4 Tests. He is there at the crease at 105. Powell is accompanying him at 38, who came in after Ishant Sharma removed Kirk Edwards. Edwards missed his century by 14 runs as he was edged to Dhoni in 104th over at the total score of 314.

Windies batsmen have really played with intent and responsibility and it is hoped that now their captain Sammy will not feel  worrisome about the absence of Chanderpaul.

The number of runs scored in each session has progressively increased in this Test, a trend Bravo and Powell will look to extend after lunch.
